• There are 4 different portals you can enter from Celestial Park.  Decide before entering how long you want to spend exploring every portal BEFORE going into the portal.  They are all amazing, so you want to make sure you take a little time to explore them all.

Celestial park

• Enter through the Cronos - powerful machine that opens the portals to the other worlds. The celestrians use cosmic energy to create things. The day you visit the park, everything is aligning, and all the portals are open there are 4 tokens for each of the worlds that are opening. 

• 26 different parks - Luna, God of Night, is on the entrance side of the Park.  Apollo, God of Light, is on the other side of the park.  Note there is an area called Astronomica, which is a kids water park - note this area is a compass to portals

• 7 acres of water in this area - Cosmos Lagoon was created by the same people that did the Bilagio in Vegas - shoots water 135 feet in the air - 14 hours of original score (the music)

• Front has locker hub, stroller and EVC rentals, guest service & first aid

• Maya Skies Moon Ship made of stars - co-pilot is Captain Cacao - goes off on adventures looking for portals

• You will find moving living statues throughout the area

• Places to eat / drink - 6 restaurants

  • • Oak & Star Traver - they do serve breakfast - BBQ & brew house - quick service - sit down and order - small portion sizes for the price

    • The Plastered Owl is the bar in the Oak & Star Tavern

    • Frosty Moon - soft serve ice cream with 2 toppings

    • Blue Dragon - pan Asian restaurant - mural of Celestrial Park - designed to look like you are in an Asian Market - check out the signs

    • Moonship chocolates and Celestial Sweets - feel like you're on captain Kraków’s and Vincent’s ship - has sweats from the other portals - ingredient lists and Recipe cards

    • Atlantic - seafood & steaks

    • Comet Dog - specialty hot dogs

    • Meteor Astro Pub - typical pub food - Alya is who found this place - she looked for planets to find ingredients for restaurant

    • Pizza moon - quick service - Hugo De Laroune was a NYC performer on Broadway in early 1900's.  Decided to join the circus and he met a celestrian named Cosmeo Nanarossa.  They pur purchased old Victorian theatre and created Pizza Moon.  Space Cowboys is the name given to Celestrians out looking for portals.  Rocket ship is the pizza oven.

    • Celestitiki bar - created by the same celestrian who found Volcano Bay

    • Starbucks is the located at the front

• Rides

  • • Constellation carousel - you will ride a celestial character - inspired by on a constellation from the sky - they can turn 360 degrees and on 4 different turn tables - moves based on the music - jazz, love song, etc. different ride each time. Recommend doing at night once sun has set - no height requirement - 8 different music tracks - fiberoptic lights luminate in the shape of the constellation on each of the constellation ride vehicles.  Faces of the moon in the dome ceiling

    • Star dust racer - you are riding on a comet through the sky - Yellow and green tracks - they are different - 48 inches height requirement - 62 mph - 133 feet tall - no break zones - 1.8 mile track - longest in universal history. It’s smooth - has no launches - known for the celestial spin - best at night as they don't light the track, only the vehicles - the back of the ride vehicles has a flux capacitor as seen in the Back to the Future movies - each vehicle is named after a scientist or explorer.

• Shops

  • • Various Emporium Sensorium Emporium is the former workshop of Vincent Various and has things from all of the portals - Lens Flare is your photo spot - North Star Wintery Wonders is your Christmas decor (see the snope)

    • Other World Mercantile - biggest merchandise shop at epic - if you look up, you will see the concept drawings for epic

    • Nintendo super star store - just has Super Nintendo world - check out the fountain with the coins - note this is where you can get power up bands before Super Mario World Opens - 4 pickman’s hidden around the store - note there is a lot of Zelda stuff so is there possibly a future expansion to include a Zelda ride? 

How to train your dragon: Isle of Burk

• Portal is a Watch tower the citizens of burk would have built - portal looks like fire - night ferry flying over you

• Your a viking in training and this portal takes place between movies 2 & 3

• 15.5 acres - largest portal

• Big rock tells the story of burk

• Check out wooden benches as they were carved with a chain saw 

• Watch the sleeping dragons. They are dreaming. 

• 119 buckets, 120 baskets, 175 barrels, 115 books, 168 crates, 151 feed sacks, 

• Gobers is an inventor, check out his forge/fort, ask him how he makes Meade

• Meet & Greet

  • • Haddock paddocks is where you meet toothless. Need to ask his permission to approach. Pet between his eyes on his nose. There is a viking with him to guide you. Visit early in the day. 

    • Little white dragons are toddlers - one is called pouncer, roughrunner, 

• Show

  • • The untrainable dragon - 20 minute show - get there 15 minutes before show time - might be skip - you can sit wherever you like - all seats great

• Rides   

  • • Hiccups wing gliders - 40” height requirement - dragon flying racing machine - up to 45 mph - Hiccup’s workshop - drawings of inventions, drawing of his travels - stones tell you about each type of dragon - lockers for anything bigger than A Fanny pack. You will hear hiccup and toothless talking

    • Fyre Drill - shooting water ride - team ruffnet or toughnett - hit fyre targets - 28 ft spray from water guns - loser gets more wet - ponchos a must - there is places on the ship to put your items that you don’t want to get wet. Wear flip flops

    • Dragon racer rally - 48” height requirement - you can barrel roll Astrid and snout out - 10 flips is the goal

    • Meade hall - 16 ft 7 inch doors - check out the kegasorous in the bar - hearty meal options - order Yaknog - chocolate cinnamon - celebration drink - There are family friendly bathrooms that have air conditioning - try the Yaknog

Dark universe

• Land based on the classic monsters -Frankenstein, invisible man, Dracula, the wolf man, creature from the black lagoon

• Portal based on apparatus that brought Frankenstein alive. Also you can see all the monsters trying to escape the portal.  The Portal powered by the dark kinetic energy.

• Darkmoor is an Old decrepit village built on top of catacombs so there are some bars and you can hear something down in their cage

• Photo op with coffins

• Bell tower ringing means monsters have been sited. At night you can see someone going up to ring the tower

• Note there is a crossbow near the bell tower. And there are arrows that did not hit their targets around

• Maria Grave stone of a little girl picking flowers is from Frankenstein where the monster threw the girl into the lake and she drowns

• Castle is called Frankenstein Manor

• Ship weather vanes is the demenor - Dracula's ship

• Mud on walls to try and keep the monsters out and spikes on the chimney keeps flying animals from entering your home

• Fountain is a way to transport human blood down to the catacombs for the vampires that live below - the saying says I will never forget you except by your will. 

• 428 on a brick - birthday of head of universal during monster movie years

• Bathroom signs are unique, toilets black in this area

• Note the energy pulsing through the village when Dr V is doing her experience

• Lions head is pub from invisible man - can't go in

• Dr Jekyll Apotheker - you can hear Dr Jekyll & Mr Hyde

• Makeover experience - 1 hour - can’t drink after doing this. - free touch ups throughout the day - they give you make up wipes - do this before meeting monsters - $45 and takes 20 mins

• The forest area is where you will find the Guild of the Mystics - werewolf

• Spookier at night

• Meet & Great

  • • Igor - going through graves looking for body parts for Victoria Frankensteins monsters

    • Invisible man - ask him for some mono cane to take over the world

    • Violist will give you a great story on the village plays in front of the mayor house. It’s a blugomaatee - 

    • Meet with Frankenstein & his bride - same day service for burying & reburing cause things don’t like to stay buried - pitch forks all around

• Ride

  • • Monsters unchained - 

      • 48 inch height requirement - Dr Victoria Frankenstein is the great great granddaughter of Dr Henry Frankenstein - she wants to control or tame the classic monsters - single rider line skips a lot of the que and pre show - express shows most of the pre show

      • outside que you can see the other entrance to the undercroft - ride takes you down to the catacombs below - also you can see the tomb of Dr. Frankenstein which is graffitied

      • read what’s in the crates to see the supplies 

      • study has a portrait of Henry Frankenstein & his wife Elizabeth and family tree

      • Frank in the tank - Dr Victoria studying him to figure out how to improve - brain & neck bolts important for transport of electricity

      • main entrance stairwell of the manor has lots of souls being taken on the walls - Dr Henry looks down upon you with the blue energy to control the dead - statues were frankensteined and the body parts are sewn together - portait of Dr Victoria

      • jump scares on the video - can't capture the Invisible Man which is why he's in Dakrmoor

      • how she taming Dracular - looking at vampire bats

      • Igor gives you instructors in preshow - look around the ride vehicle (statues of monsters below you)

      • Dracula's medallion and fingers of his brides as that is what he did when he ended his relationship with them

      • Dr Victoria's jacket & crossbow

      • Wolfman footprint & his teeth and creatures hand

      • everything goes in lockers however you cannot have a Fanny pack on your waste - go down to the end as those lockers are less crowded

      • next room has lots of nods to the monsters on the ride

      • when on the ride, you will feel the electricity through your back

      • can breakdown a lot more in the evening. 

      • 14 animatronics in this ride - final Dracula takes your breathe away.

    • Curse of the werewolf- you have had your fortune told and you have been affected by the werewolf curse and now you must face the beast - 

      • 40” ride requirement - spinner - every time you ride it, it different because it’s based on weight distribution of 4 people on your ride vehicle. Wait no more than 30 minutes for this ride.

• Places to eat

  • • Das stakehaus - vampires live under the restaurant and vampire familiars which are humans doing the bidding of the vampires hoping for the immortality life - steaks are skewer - try the dark horse beer in this land - it’s light and has a pumpkin spice flavor even though it looks dark - you are underground when in here and if you look up, you will see the tree roots coming through the grate - portrait is Mina one of Dracula’s loves that got away - vampires on stakes were killed by Dracula himself - Aruna is the little girl that was the tattle tale to Dracula

    • Burning blade tavern - blades erupt every 15 mins - bells will tone before - more pitch forks - lots of monsters that are captured and some of the weapons to catch monsters - order crossbow, it’s on the secret menu - hunters garlic stake is a garlic bread stick with a butter garlic sauce - monster hunters will come through - you can ask about their stories      

• Shopping

  • • The Manor Storehouse

    • Pretorius Scientific Oddities - based on Dr. Pretorius was 6 feet and the coffin is not, so he must have been buried in pieces - he was known for shrinking things into jars - 428 is what is on the radio which is a knod to the head of Universal during the Monster years

Super Nintendo world

• Largest Super Mario World in all the world

• Portal has characters, at the top in Mario on a rotating coin where is is the classic Mario and current day Mario. Fire flower, one up mushrooms, invisibility stars and coins on top of the portal.  The green warp pipe where you will see Rainbow Magic. Definitely notice the music. 

• Princess peach castle has a nod to super Mario 64 with the portraits that change just like they did in the Mario games.

• Once you walk through, note you will see Mario flag on top of Bean Pole.  Once in the world, make sure to look back and admire Princess Peach castle

• Donkey Kong country is towards the back and you will go through a tunnel that is like a cave entrance and has a more tropical feel back there.

• Power Up Bands - Throughout this world, you will need a power up band to collect coins, find secret characters and get a better score on Mario Kart. You need one for each person who will want to play bowser Junior shadow showdown.  You need to hook up your power band to the universal play section of the app.  Screens around the park will give you your stats on how you are doing

  • • Collect coins by Hitting ? Blocks till it stops making noise

    • If you see an “M” hit it - secret characters show up

    • Flower is also a game

    • There are binoculars around, if you see stars twinkling or pikmins, zoom in or out really fast

    • 5 Key challenges - need 3 keys to play Bowser Junior Shadow Showdown

        • Bom-omb Kaboom Room - note you get smaller after the bomb goes off, and the mushroom allows you to grow in size

    • Ramby’a Bongo Breakout - Play the bongos correct to see Ramby

  • • Browser Jr Shadow Showdown - you make your shadows compete 

    • Yoshi adventure- 34” height requirement - Que is cute, but ride is for very young kids - get 3 color eggs and you will see the golden egg - this ride is based on Super Mario Brothers 2 Yoshi Island

    • Mario Kart Bowser Challenge - 

      • • 40” height requirement - you wear visors & goggles - 

        • Que takes you through Bowsers Castle - read the titles of the books in Bowsers library - there is a Bowser portrait signed by the founder of Nintendo when he visited the land - bom bom factory has lava

        • when riding the ride look at what you want to hit - drive a car hit your band at the center of the steering wheel - your shell color matches the color of the steering wheel 

    • Mine Kart Madness - 40” height requirements - you help donkey Kong protect the golden banana from the tiki tak tribe - it is a little bumpy - you get shot out of a barrel

  • • Yoshi’s snack island

    • Toadstool cafe - quick service restaurant - busy restaurant so eat off peak hours because this is popular with the kids - watch all the story lines in the windows - music and lighting changes when Bowser is there.

    • Turbo Boost Treats - popcorn

• Merchandise

  • • 1up Factory - biggest merchandise in the area

    • Funky’s Fly n By - is a merchandise shop in Donkey Kong country

Ministry of Magic

• You may want to have your Google Translate app to translate signs throughout the land

• The portal is a time turner, and you can hear it as you go through the portal.  

  • • It takes you back to 1920 Paris. This themed land features Pace Cachee, a hidden corner for witches and wizards

    • On the actual portal, you will see wands.  The Left side has Harry Potter wands - Voldemort, Ron, Hermione & Harry. On the right is fantastic beast - Newt, Tina, Queenie, Jacob's fake wand - Note the Elder wand at the top because it combines the two stories.  

    • Once you go through, it takes you as you come off the metro.  And then you will travel through a muggle's arch.  Note that buildings are 65 - 70 feet tall in this area

    • You will also see the Phoenix Arch.  Take time to explore all the magical creatures on the arch.

• Cosme Acajor Baguettes Magique - The name of the Persian wand maker is Cosme Acajor creates beautiful wands that can be purchased here. She believes the wizard influences the wand.

  • • Olivander Wands come in a square box and are themed to specific characters.  Cosme Acajor's wands come in a signature triangular box with unique wand logo on the end.  Her wands are themed based on elements.  They all come with a map that will show you where and how to use the wand.

    • 1st generation wands and cannot be linked to your Universal Orlando app.  2ng generation wands can be linked, take you on different spell quests and do light up.

    • Make sure to have a backpack big enough to hold your wand box.  They will give you a bag to carry the box in, but the bag will get smashed when you try and put it into lockers to ride the rides.  

    • light fixture is made up of 800 crystal wands - there are also spells carved into the top of light - pixies at the top of the light

    • Cosme's personal office is on the top floor

• Le Cirque Arcanus - circus tent - the magic overtakes you and the tent gets very large once you enter - live performers, puppetry and special effects - Skender ends up with Newt Scamander's suitcase.  As the pre-show narrative ends, Skender's assistant, Gwenlyn, accidentally opens the suitcase.

• Harry Potter Battle of the Ministry - ride

  • • 40" height requirement

    • take the Metro-Floo Entrance to Dolores Umbridge trial at the Ministry of the Magic

    • Floo shoots all have a different number which were the project numbers for each world in Epic Universe - 901 is celestial park, 902 is dark universe, 903 is island of burke, 904 super Nintendo world and 905 harry potter

    • Notice the Floo for giant use only

    • Ministry munchies coffee cart & News cart can be found in the lobby of the ministry - note the letters flying between offices

  • • Street musicians will wander throughout the land - can see a Puffskein hiding in their band cart.

    • An Auror is a law enforcement official for the Ministry of Magic or other wizarding governing body

    • Exchange Students from Hogwarts, Beauxbatons and Ilvermorny - ask to see their books

    • La Famause Fougara - Flower shop window - bowtruckles can be found here

    • Aux Van Taux Venteux - Locksmith shop window - bowtruckles can be found here

    • Jewelry Store Window - can see a black niffler

    • Les Galeries Mirifiques - department store - can see baby nifflers in the windows - the upper floor is where the sports section or toy section

    • Oculus Regulus Opticien - a mooncalf can be found peeking out from the window in the shop's front door.  It will chirp, coo and move as guests speak to it.

    • Antiquities window - talking portraits - they will teach you a wand trick

    • School for Apparition

    • French Ministry For Magic. Entrance is off to the side which is a lift Device. Protected by a charm of so it doesn't move.

    • Nicolas Flamel home - he created the Sorcer's Stone - there is a spell to see the Sorcer's Stone & another is the Crystal Ball predicts a wizard boy will find a Stone.

    • The house of coffins - please don't mention the Sorcer's Stone
